JOB SUMMARY 

The Technical Delivery Manager is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of technology initiatives across the organization. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Technology Implementation and Delivery, this role plays a critical part in ensuring successful delivery of cross-functional solutions by managing project execution, aligning IT resources, and implementing delivery frameworks such as Agile or hybrid models.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in IT project delivery, Agile frameworks, and stakeholder engagement. This role bridges the gap between strategic intent and operational execution, ensuring that technology solutions are delivered effectively, efficiently, and in alignment with enterprise goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Project & Delivery Management

  • Lead the planning and execution of technology projects across their full lifecycle, from initiation through delivery.
  • Define and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, risks, and status updates.
  • Apply Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery frameworks to ensure timely sprint execution and increment releases.
  • Serve as the primary delivery lead for assigned solutions or workstreams.

Product & Backlog Ownership

  • Partner with business stakeholders and product owners to capture, refine, and prioritize product backlogs.
  • Translate business requirements into technical deliverables in collaboration with development teams.
  • Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning, and sprint reviews.

Team & Resource Coordination

  • Align internal IT resources (developers, analysts, QA, infrastructure, etc.) across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Identify skill or capacity gaps and coordinate with department leads to address resource needs.
  • Foster strong communication and accountability across teams.

Governance & Reporting

  • Track key delivery KPIs (velocity, quality, budget, timeline) and escalate risks or delays as appropriate.
  • Prepare executive-ready status reports and facilitate regular delivery check-ins.
  • Support compliance with change management, architecture, and security standards.

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the evolution of delivery frameworks, tools, and practices.
  • Support post-implementation reviews and incorporate feedback into future sprints/releases.
  • Champion agile delivery culture and cross-team collaboration.

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong project and program management skills with a deep understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC), Agile/Scrum frameworks, and DevOps practices.
  • Strong project and technical acumen with the ability to effectively translates technical concepts into clear, actionable language for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Adept at translating business needs into execution plans, resolving delivery bottlenecks, and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration across teams.
  • Proven ability to build strong, collaborative relationships across cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership groups to drive alignment, resolve conflicts, and ensure successful delivery of shared goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end technical project lifecycles, including planning, resource alignment, execution, and delivery across cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies and processes across the organization.
  • Experience coordinating and managing third-party vendors and service providers to ensure quality and timeliness.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, convey complex information clearly, and drive alignment through effective collaboration and organization. PMP or equivalent project management certification.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in managing and delivering projects, with expertise in project planning, cross-functional coordination, system implementation, and business process optimization.
