We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior C# Application Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining C# / Dot Net Core applications within our Microsoft Azure environments. You will work closely with business analysts, software architects and business stakeholders to implement and enhance custom business applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in C#, Dot Net Core and MS SQL Server, along with a passion for solving complex problems. Experience in pharma and clinical trials is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, or equivalent experience

• 5 or more years of experience in:
• C# and Dot Net Core
• T-SQL syntax, including Views and Stored Procedures
• Razor Page Web Applications
• JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery
• Strong proficiency and hands-on experience in:
• Azure SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and other database technologies
• Common data formats such as XML, JSON and CSV
• Azure Resources, CLI and Portal
• Experience in database design and query optimization
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Git version control tools
• An in-depth understanding of:
• Data structures, algorithms, code organization, runtime complexity, APIs, and testing methodologies
• Application-level design patterns, the costs and benefits of each, and the ability to choose the correct approach to efficiently implement your tasks
• The ability to break down, plan and complete story-level programming tasks of up to 80 hours of estimated effort, tested and error-free, with minimal supervision
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Flexibility to change direction, iterate, and adapt
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with the following is a definite plus:
• The Medical and CRO industries
• HIPPA, GDPR, FDA Regulations and Data Privacy laws
• Formal Validation testing, documentation and requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Application Development:

• Design, test and develop simple services and applications and complex software components and modules, review your work with senior software developers and architects, and incorporate their feedback
• Contribute to software design discussions and decisions, create level of effort estimates for team development tasks, help drive the delivery of your projects to production on schedule
• Assist junior developers in the completion of their individual tasks
• Evaluate and prototype new solutions for small projects, including the learning and leveraging of new components, tools and technologies
• Contribute to the code review process and suggest process improvements, to improve software quality, resiliency, testability and test automation
• Follow industry standard best practices, including writing high quality code, developing functional and performance tests, maximizing test automation, and utilizing end-to-end deployment pipelines to maintain a fast velocity.

• Collaboration:

• Continuously communicate with the team members and business partners in real-time, using Agile principles throughout the software development lifecycle to create, iterate, test and deploy software applications
• Participate in the requirements management processes, following best practices to accurately gather, document, review and refine the full scope of user needs and functional requirements for the software components and applications under development
• Elevate the capabilities of business stakeholders and analysts by sharing development best practices, refining and improving software requirements, and enabling those stakeholders to contribute directly to the application development process
• Integrate our applications and components with other systems and APIs across the business, working with partner teams to help evolve their systems and make our shared services and data repositories available, resilient, and reusable

• Data Quality and Governance:

• Follow industry standard best practices, including writing high quality code, developing functional and performance tests, maximizing test automation, and utilizing end-to-end deployment pipelines to maintain a fast velocity
• An in-depth understanding of security and privacy best practices, to ensure compliance with all applicable data governance, regulatory and security standards

• Performance Optimization:

• Monitor and tune applications to improve efficiency, reduce latency and ensure uptime
• Anticipate, troubleshoot and resolve production issues
